French Retro and Jazz band
The French have always known how to write a good song. Their classic chansons from the great artists such as Charles Trenet, Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf are full of love, powerful emotions and heart-wrenching stories. Joie de Vivre has lovingly crafted a set of some of the greatest chansons of all time. Featuring the talented vocals of French singer, Muriele and supported by experienced jazz pianist, Dominic Beeton, Joie de Vivre play the great classics of Edith Piaf such as La Vie en Rose, L'Accordeoniste, Mon Amant de St Jean, Padam Padam, Je Ne Regrette Rien. They have selected the finest songs from the French songbook including Jacque Brel's "Ne Me Quitte Pas, Trenet's "Qu'est-ce q'on attend pour etre heureux". They play "Zou Bisou Bisou" made world famous by the American TV series Mad Men. There are slow powerful ballads like Leo Ferre's "Avec Le Temps" and foot tapping swing tunes like "Je Ne Veux Pas Travailler". When you book Joie de Vivre expect to be moved to tears and expect to be entertained to your heart's content. You can dance, sing but above all this is music that needs to heard and felt.
